Doorway Platform

Doorway is a digital investment platform that enables direct venture capital investment by business angels and private investors in pre-vetted early-Stage startups.
Operating since 2019, Doorway together with its network of over 2,500 investors, has invested more than EUR 30 million in 40 innovative companies, of which more than half have a significant social or environmental impact.
The investment focus lies on early-stage startups in the fields of: AI, Climate- & CleanTech, Agri- & FoodTech, DeepTech, FinTech, and Healthcare. Among the startups in its portfolio are Contents, Hlpy, ACBC, Qaplà, Smartpricing and Walliance.
Investments are made deal-by-deal in a club-deal mode. Investors can join a club deal starting from EUR 5,000 or from EUR 1,000 if the investor is under 39 years old. Doorway promises a rigorous screening and startup assessment process to its investors. In addition, all startups presented to the network are verified by an experienced investment committee composed of 10 Venture Capital professionals. Investors are pooled together with a special-purpose vehicle. Doorway proposes continuous support for its portfolio companies while performing portfolio management for its investors.
The co-founder and CEO of Doorway is Antonella Grassigli; she was awarded the Italian Business Angel of the Year 2021 and won the Woman of The Year 2022 award at the italian FinTech Awards 2023. Doorway has a team of 15 people with offices in Bologna, Milan, and Brussels.

Doorway is a regulated platform in accordance with EU Regulation 2020/1503 on European Crowdfunding Service Providers and is authorized by the Italian financial market authorities, CONSOB and the Bank of Italy.
