BNP Paribas Fortis Private Equity is the private equity branch of BNP Paribas Fortis.

The Direct Investments’ team aims at supporting and developing scale-up and mature and profitable companies in Belgium by providing them with the necessary financial (quasi-) equity support and expertise.

Investment size (minority equity, mezzanine and uni-tranche) ranges from EUR 1 to 50m (sweet spot between EUR 3 and 25m) in growth, replacement or (leveraged) buy-out / buy-in transactions. The targeted investment horizon often ranges from 5 to 7 years but staying longer in an investment is possible while reinvesting in a subsequent capital round is part of the strategy.

BNPPF PE acts as a strategic partner alongside management teams, existing shareholders and/ or co-investors.

The Fund Investment’s team invests in top tier buy-out, growth capital and VC private equity funds having a strong Belgian link and with a clear commitment to generate co-investment and cross-sell opportunities. Investments alongside these reputable fund managers offer Private Equity solutions throughout the company’s life cycle from early stage over scale-up to maturity (EUR 5 to 20m tickets).
