Stockholm, 19 January 2024 – Main acquires a majority stake in leading Smart Document Creation & Management provider Omnidocs, a Danish company with global presence. Moving forward, Main will act as a strategic partner to the management team, supporting Omnidocs in its growth journey. By pursuing a selective buy-and-build strategy, Omnidocs has the potential to further internationalize and become the market leader within the European and American broader Enterprise Information Management software space delivering best-in-class solutions towards several different verticals.

Omnidocs is a Danish Enterprise Information Management (EIM) software provider delivering smart document management, automation and content creation solutions to different organizations across the globe. Omnidocs also provides advisory services to support their customers in their document creation journey. The software integrates with other enterprise applications and consists of document automation, productivity tools, accessibility solutions and more. Today, Omnidocs services 300 SaaS customers and more than two million users globally, of which the majority are multi-national enterprises and public sector organizations.

Attractive product market and international scalability
The primary motivations of the strategic acquisition with Omnidocs include the attractive product market as well as its international scalability. Smart Document Creation & Management is a sub-category of the Enterprise Information Management market that automatically streamlines content generation and management, enhancing efficiency and compliance throughout the document lifecycle. The Enterprise Information Management market is experiencing solid growth, which is expected to persist as there is an increasing interest in unified solutions to streamline content and information across organizations. Furthermore, Omnidocs is active within several attractive verticals and have a blue-chip customer base including multinational enterprises, several Fortune 500 companies and Big Five accounting firms.

Moreover, Omnidocs has built a modular product portfolio based on a multi-tenant architecture tailored for different productivity and accessibility requirements, already achieving over half of revenues outside its home market Denmark, and which is positioned for further international expansion. Large organizations report saving time and resources by automating and streamlining their document creation with Omnidocs’ user-friendly products and integrations. We see ample opportunity in leveraging the internationally scalable platform together with Main’s experience and network from supporting companies in growing internationally both organically as well as through strategic add-on acquisitions. Omnidocs’ experienced management team will retain a significant minority stake and stay closely involved post-closing. The company aims to further expand in Northwestern Europe as well as in Northern America, utilizing existing and new partnership channels as a key component in this growth journey.

Jeppe Schytte-Hansen, CEO, Co-founder, Omnidocs: “It has been crucial for me and Omnidocs to find a partner with not only financial strength but also market insight and domain expertise.
