PRIOR OCCUPATIONS

Legal advisor to Capricorn Venture Partners and compliance officer (as of 2015).

Legal advisor to ITP-Management and IT-Partners, in liquidation now. This venture capital fund was created in Belgium in 1997 by Imec and other financial and private shareholders. Member of the board of directors of ITP-Management.

Legal Advisor to the two Euroventures Benelux’ Funds, created in the mid-eighties as an initiative of the European Round Table, to provide a European answer to the venture capital business of the United States (from 1991-1997).

Associate in the legal and tax department of Loeff Claeys Verbeke, an international law firm (which merged later into Allen & Overy).

Co-chair of the legal & tax committee of the Belgian Venture Capital Association.

Member of the Professional Standards Committee of Invest Europe (since 2018)

 

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Master’s degree in business administration from the Vlerick Management School.

Master in law, graduated “magna cum laude” at the University of Ghent.

Writer of a chapter on management buy-outs in the “Practische Gids voor Bestuurders” 1987 and the chapter on the Belgian company law rules with respect to mergers and acquisitions in the member states of the European Union in the “Europees Economisch Zakboekje”, 1990.
